Just to make it clear what the symbols mean: for [S, tS], read [ç, tç] (the palatal fricative and affricate), as pointed out by Torsten.

... The LETTER <k> before a "soft" vowel letter and in the combination <kj> represents the SOUND [S] (from earlier [tS], which apparently survives in Dalarna), not to [k].
