If seeing is believing, how about using a submersible to touch, and
chisel down what seem to be man-made stone structures on the
submerged river banks?

In the meantime, one can study Nahali, the remarkable language
isolate (cf. preliminary studyes by Kuiper), Amri-Nal coastline pre-
saravati settlements (cf. Possehl, 1999), earthquakes and sea-level
rises which engulfed Dva_raka as described in the Mausala Parva of
the Maha_bha_rata, the etymology of khambat, bharuch (and, yes,
va_run.i)
