IE+ religion

someone likes to say that if a group is abble to put trugh a new
population its language like the supposed IE did, this group must be
abble to put into the new theritorry/population its religioon and hist
gods as well.
So, do we can speak about IE gods?Do we have a pantheon od gods in all
the supposed IE-Area?Here is wide spectrum just if we take the greeks
gods and the gods from Rig Veda.. I guess it is not that easy to
asnwer...
I was challenged by this question and it seems I need a lot of
information about this.
