The Armenian past participle (built on the aorist stem) ends in -eal
(o-stem, G. -eloy), while the infinitive in -l (also o-stem) is built
on the present stem. The formation of teh past ptc. is unclear:
perhaps the suffix was originally -al [*-eh2-lo ?], which after aorist
stems ending in -i gave -i-al > -eal, later analogically extended.
