I am not questioning the motives of Indo-Europeanists. Rather, I am
concerned that something akin to 'blood money' is perhaps being used
to promote IE studies.
If what the website says is true, then it fuels the fears
that 'Aryanism' and anti-Semitism is still alive and that these
forces are supporting IE studies for reasons best known to them.
Even Mother Teresa has drawn a lot of flak for accepting charity from
drug peddlers, murderers and other criminals. And if the Publisher of
the JIES (and the associated series) believes in racism as the
webpage alleges, then I will stop buying any publications of the
Institute for the Study of Man, even if the individual authors do not
subscribe to such notions. After the Nazi holocaust, I feel morally
obliged to do so.
Within Indology as such, there is a persistent attempt to this day to
cover up the biases of the pioneers. Let us hope that IE studies
fares better. "The burden of sin becomes lighter when it is
confessed." (Satapatha Brahmana).
_Some_ Indo-europeanists are so quick to allege that Indian scholars
who disagree with them are 'Hindu Nationalists' or 'Fascists'
or 'Indian Superpatriots'. Maybe their own cupboards hide more
skeletons than we know of.
I am terminating this discussion here, as it does not relate really
to the Academic study of IE languages.

Vishal
