I think Common Celtic is used more often for the hypothetical language that
developed out of Proto Indo European and showed typically Celtic traits
(though some even question whether or not there was ever a single Common
Celtic dialect) - I don't often come across the term Old Celtic or
Proto-Celtic, though I would imagine that Proto-Celtic and Common Celtic
would likely refer to the same thing.
