There is no real consensus at present, since the limited attestation of Dacian makes it difficult to reach definitive conclusions. Pending further analyses it is regarded as "incertae sedis", but whatever fragmentary material exists shows very distinctive toponymic patterns and none of the diagnostic traits of Germanic.

 A recent television program suggest that Dacian (that spoken by Decabalus etc) was Germanic in origin. This seems in conflict with some theories I have read here. What is the consensus on it´s grouping?
