I met in the literature attempts to bind As (the East Iranian ethnonyme, not
the name of Nordic gods) with Massagetes and Wu-sun.
Besides, there are fragments of ancient texts where tribal names developed
from Massagetes (particularly Maskuts in ancient Armenian texts) are
equivalent to the term Alans of other contemporary texts describing the same
events.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. In fact, if I may put in my
order for etymologies at this time, I would like to know
about all of the Scythian and Sarmatian tribal names:
Antae, Aorsi, Ardagarantes, Iaxamatae, Issedones, Ixibitai,
Jazygians, Limigantes, Massagetes, Parnoi, Satarches,
Sauromatians, Siraces, Spali, Wu-sun, Yüeh-chih.
No hurry, anytime before midnight tonight will be fine.
