*nepo:t... Somebody's wrong!

If I should be confused about the accentuation of *nepo:t,
please have compassion. For the fact of the matter is, I'm
apparently as confused as anybody.

Miguel claims that the nominative is *npo:t(s) with accentuation
on the initial syllable. Alright, fine. Unfortunately, Piotr's
very own informative and much appreciated site concerning IE stress
says something entirely different:

http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Oracle/2190/Caraculiambro/Stress.html

Here, it is written in bold as *nep:t (accent on LAST syllable).
Since Piotr doesn't make up strange *y/*n^ theories, is it any
wonder that I have a strong urge to side towards Piotr's view.
However, I'll give the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the accent
did indeed lie on the initial syllable...

I'll just let Miguel and Piotr duke it out while I continue
to busily reconstruct Mid IE and enhance my understanding
of the Penultimate Accent Rule further.

- love gLeN
