"Somskwertos" con-lang and Arioweghya clarifications

My apologies for the delay in sending this.

Arioweghya is not a religion, it is a effort for unity and communication
among IndoEuropean religions... and indirectly among all traditional/tribal
religions (basically, all of humanity except those fanatical religions that
seek monolithic control of humanity.)

Its present leaders come from a variety of IE religions... yes, including
David Frawley, who regardless of what one thinks of the conclusions of his
historical research is a highly respected and formally credentialled
authority of and in Hinduism. In a similar regard, I do not call myself a
Druuid, I am initiated/ordained as one. The title has as much validity as
any other religious title, and considerably more than most of the titles
born by the bishop of Rome. (Since many of them are in fact the titles of
"pagan" priesthoods and have nothing to do with Christianity in origin.)

"Somskwertos" is a (Late-)PIE-based conlang... "only" a con-lang, so no need
to get worked up about its "deficiencies" in relation to the more exacting
reconstructions of PIE. Concerning the obvious heavy preponderance of words
recognizable from Sanskrit and the Indic religions, this merely a matter of
practicality, and not either ideology or chauvinism. Yes, many words are
quite similar to Sanskrit words with "e"s and "o"s where the Sanskrit
cognate has short "a"s. This IS a major difference between Sanskrit and
PIE... the coalescence of those vowels into "a"s. I have, for the most part,
followed the standard layman-level resources (for example, PIE roots found
in English dictionaries) that are relatively easily available, sometimes
with phonetic simplifications; note for example the lack of laryngeals. I
know too many Americans who converted to Hinduism 30 years ago who still
can't pronounce basic Sanskrit for me to expect all but a few of those who
are or will be part of Arioweghya to be willing and able to learn a more
phonetically accurate form of PIE.

Neither the Noble Path nor Somskwertos sites are particularly aimed at
specialists in IE linguistics such as your good selves... they are intended
to become practical resources for serious practitioners of IE culture. On
the contrary, members of this list and other specialists are most warmly
welcomed to add their expertise to the "Somskwertos" project. What is there
is just my very brief beginning, with the first batch of vocabulary to be
implemented and is not yet representative of the anticipated finished
product. As it develops, it should become far more balanced in its
influences. It should be interesting for any good-hearted IndoEuropeanist...

To those one or two listmembers who made rude comments, kindly either say
something constructive and helpful or else keep your silence. It's unworthy
of scholars to be rude, to each other or anyone else.

But this is all only loosely topical to this list, so if anyone wants to
discuss (or argue) any more of this, please email me privately.

Yours in service of Truth,
Mark DeFillo
