I supposed that in a rather prudent style, and used in my objections
to Martin the same argument as you did. On the other hand, I must
admit your specific argument has to be rejected: the Orthodox
practice in contrast to the Catholic does not have the connotations
you mentioned. I don't state I know all the Orthodox prayers and
liturgical texts by heart, but I've explored most of them and can
state that in Church Slavonic texts <dennica> is used exclusively as
a designation of Lucifer (the leader of the tenth of angels).
