I wanted to say something to express my sympathy, but whatever I
think of comes out sounding stupid.
The were dancing in the streets here Tuesday. We now
have 15.000 of them and growing fast. We are 5.5 million. Suddenly we
have 400.000 Moslem. Today I am able to express the condolences and
sympathy of the Danish people. In fifty years that will not
necessarily be so, according to the government statistical office: A
third of the population here will be Moslems. Or New Danes, as they
are officially called here.

I am ashamed that I feel this way. I was once a hippie and travelled
in that great country and believed in peace and love between all
races and religions. Since Tuesday I can never be a hippie again. I
don't think I should say what I feel and fear for the future in this
august forum. I will take time out.
