Dear Joseph,

  Ruined Britain in what sense?  The horse was revered by the Celtic Britons
and chariot burials have been noted from Kent to Scotland, can I assume that
the Celtic Welsh were part of this same tradition?  I assume by "English" you
mean the Saxons, Angles, Danes and other Germanic speakers who invaded after
the departure of the Roman legions in 410.  It is unlikely that the Welsh
would have used the word "English" or "Anglish" until quite late after the
invasions and population displacement.  Could you clarify?
