Sounds like a good idea. Something like Pre-Germanic *tita(:)s-o:n would work for Thjazi. The main difficulty is the quantity of the first vowel in Gk. ti:ta:n-.

It was a shape-shifter (eagle-shaped) and there was a hypothesis that he and his brothers were the same as the Ivaldi's sons.

It's curious and could be only coincidence, but in at least three IE people, there are enemies of the gods with names linked to a root *Tit- : Titanes (Greece), Titus Tatius and his titienses (Rome), Thjazi (<*Thedaso: n < *Tit-).
