This is fascinating indeed. There is on the banks of the River
Sarasvati_ (near Yamunanagar) a place called Lohgar.h, well before
the river joins River Markanda_ near Pehoa (Pr.thudaka of
Maha_bha_rata). Since very ancient times until today, there are
panniers licensed to pan for gold in this river around this area. A
synonym for Sarasvati_ river is: hiran.yavartini_ (surroundings of
gold). Yes, rasava_da means alchemy.
