that? It's legitimate here to ask any sensible questions that have to do with
(pre)history and historical linguistics. Even before you started that thread,
there had been smaller-scale outbursts -- Longgren's emotional defence of the
"Battle Axe race", his postings re the term "Aryan", etc. A clash was bound to
take place sooner or later.
Now that the crisis seems to be over, I
suggest we should really show a little discipline as regards OT issues. The
Nostratic forum is now available for all who are interested in long-range
comparison, and if somebody wants to discuss, say, heavy metal poisoning across
history, it's very simple to start a new list (say,
historical_toxicology).
