Hitt. <pir>, G. <parnas> can be regularly derived from *pé:rr, *prn-ós
(r/n heteroclitic, root *pern- [or, why not, *bhern-?]). Egyptian
<pr>, on the other hand, derives from *pVl-, which doesn't sound at
all like *pern, or *bhern. More like *pelh1- "citadel".
