Max Dashu, who has revealed to us that he is not a man but
a middle-aged non-smoker with a highly deceptive name, starts off:

In historical times, of course, Egypt had a large influence. However, I'm
speaking about a different time period altogether much earlier than the
unification of Egypt in 3100 BCE, much earlier than writing (that is, if we
discount the Vinca thingy). I believe I stated 5500 BCE.

First, /Isis/ is the Hellenized form of Coptic /Esi/, which is from Egyptian
[ist] if I recall. Secondly, while the Copts were indeed Christians
(something I was aware of already, thanx), they still knew what their gods
were called, otherwise I wouldn't be giving you the Coptic names.
Christianity isn't as efficient as you might think when it comes to
destroying ancient beliefs. Old traditions die hard. (cf. Mayan
christianity, Anglican trinity, Christmas, Valentine's, Easter, etc) Again,
I think the Copts knew the names of their own gods, thank you very much.

So, you have no penis and your lungs are healthy. Do you have anything else
to share that might be of interest to the List? >:)
