Visnu and Pusan

Garrett Olmsted (Gods of the Celts and the Indo Europeans) proposes that
Pusan may actually have developed out of Visnu (in the same manner that many
see Aryaman as a development from Mitra) - Olmsted sees Visnu as having
close ties to Greek Hermes, but he also sees many correspondences between
Norse Thor and Pusan as well.

Anyone have any opinions on this?
