This really is a strange phenomenon, people "deciphering" Etruscan on
their own. I often get into arguing matches with a group pf people on
an Arthurian studies newsgroup who have, in addition to discovering
the "true" king Arthur, also (for the first time) accurately
deciphered Etruscan! Apparently, everyone has gotten it wrong so far!
