Language is influenced by many tendencies and factors. The "googoo factor", if that's what you want to call it, is just one factor among many, and it's probably not the most important factor that is shaping language, but this factor caught my interest.

A new discussion could branch out here if anyone's interested: what are the _most_ important factors that shape and change language over time? Sound laws? Random changes (accumulating random "noise")? Let's hear what you think!

For a small language like my own, I think one of the most important factors at work right now is borrowing from English. The kids don't make their own slang any more, they borrow American slang.
