Lithuanian also seems to have a certain tonality to it. I remember
reading once that archaic Greek may have been this way too.

There indeed seem to be 'tonemic' minimal pairs in certain IE
languages, but this is a long way from from saying they are are actual
tone languages, in the sense used for eastern Asian languages.
