An interesting detail:
November 14 is the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Coventry. The old
cathedral is kept in ruins as a memorial. In one corner of this cathedral
is a pre-war effigy of the bishop who re-founded the diocese of Coventry
around 1900. And there, around his bronze head, is a garland of swastikas.
Most of the tourists don't notice it. The swastika was a fairly common
Christian symbol until the war.
