You're twisted John. Pluto and Hades, first off, are Greek concepts. Greek
religion wasn't practiced pre-3000 BCE so to rely heavily on those two
characters as some sort of pathetic rebuttal to prehistoric associations of
Mars to the Underworld only demonstrates that you can't reason very well.
Now you go on say the following:
Glen (ME):
>>I am not familiar off hand. I'll check it out. Already though by
>>the mention of "seven" I can see a cosmological/agricultural association
>>with the seven astral bodies.
John quips back:
>And one quarter of the phases of the moon. And what culture was that
>in which early astronomy was best developed? Perhaps a culture with
>clear skies, not dependent upon rain fed agriculture? And what
>culture would that be Glen? Could it in fact been Sumerian?
The Sumerians! Hahahahahahaha... you've officially gone off the deep end, my
friend. You are the one saying that the Sumerians were affected by the Ubaid
culture, derivative of the northern Halaf culture, which we both agreed were
Caucasic-speaking farmers. If you honestly believe that a non-agricultural
culture paid such close attention to the skies, then good luck to you.
Cosmology is a major theme in Mayan belief too but.... lo and behold, they
were agricultural. Clear skies?? You're cracked.
