>Obviously, historians, anthropologists and sociologists don't read the same material..enterI bet everyone on this list who followed this link had a right laugh! Amazing how Mr. Ryabchikov has single handedly overturned centuries of foolish academia in his quest to prove that ProtoSlavs [for which we may as well read Great Russians] were identical with Skyths, Minoans, Etruscans, Pelasgians AND modern Cherkass. How come no one spotted such glaringly obvious facts before? Leave this man time and I am sure he will discover the Slavonic origins of agriculture, tool use, language and fire. What next? Christ actually born in a small village near Tver. Zarathustra a misspelling of Zdratastrov. Stonehenge and the Pyramids constructed by missionaries from Pskov while on their way to Great Zimbabwe. Roma as a contraction of the older name New Murom, founded by [et]Russkiys who can clearly be discerned as having inspired Homer to write all his poems.

Later this god was replaced by the goddess Makosh' (or Mokosh') in the Russian mythology. This name is associated with Russian kosh signifying 'carriage' and 'military transport' (Schilov 1995: 358).
