Moldavia, or Moldova if you prefer, is apparently good wine country.
When we lived in Chicago we discovered a line of imported Moldavian
dessert wines that were pretty good. I was actually more interested in
them for the exotic bottles. Haven't found them around here
(Bloomington, Indiana) as yet:-(
