> Of course it's an old IE
myth! Does Norse "Ragnarok" ring a bell? For that matter, the very
IndoEuropean story of Ragnarok somewhat parallels biblical stories
(enriched with _Semitic_ content, mind you) found in Revelation. I wouldn't
say I'm awfully religious but I do recall there being a final clash between
angels and demons, led respectively by Yahweh and Satan. Gee, I

what Yahweh and Satan might parallel in IE myth... Could it be something
like Poseidon and Zeus, per se? Could the angels and demons be replaced by
the Aesir and the Vanir? Neah. Maybe I'm just dreaming. Cain and

It's not a weird idea if we consider the great
influence of Persian Zoroastrism on Judaism. Persian idea of "Apocalyptical
Battle" must have IE base. Persian thought had a great influence on the ideas of
angels and demons.
Cain x Abel as Horse Twins? Maybe. I think most
plausible their conexion with Osiris x Seth. (Curious: If we take a look at
Genesis, we will see that Cain's lineage and Seth's lineage are so similar...my
idea is that Seth (Adam's son) and Cain were the same person. It'd be so
constraining to humans see theirselves as descendants of a murderer - so, Seth
linneage was inserted to be our ancestors. (That's just my opinion...I could be
wrong)
I think IE influence on Bible is remarkable in Book
of Judges. Compare Joshua deeds with Varuna (Terrible Sovereign): He stopped the
Sun and Moon (Cosmical Laws); he overthrew Jericoh walls (Victory withouth
physical battle)...Compare Samson with Thunder-God...etc
