South Africa (ahem...no we don't live in the jungle and
yes, there is a measure of civilisation in Africa)
I am 16
years old
and I am a
linguaphile and amateur (especially here)
philologist.
Ok, now on to the real part:
I recently subscribed to this
list, since IE is the root of 90% of all the languages I am interested
in.
BUT in the very short time I was here, people have
been at each other's throats about African culture, some poor uneducated
man remarked that Putin means whore and insulted a simple play in
Latin........and flaming seems to be commonplace here.
SInce I do not wish to leave
this very informative and terrific list, could I please request that the
moderator enforce a greater amount of list policy? It is highly irritating
to try and sound educated in the midst of a linguistic food fight.
