From: Glen GordonHow fast was the rise exactly? Would it honestly have caused such epidemic distress to somewhat unsettled peoples like the IE
speakers anyways?A 300 foot rise in 2 years. At the height, it was only a few feet a day. This was not so fast as to not allow people to escape, which means one has lots and lots of refugees. The largest area of inundation was in the north. In the South, there is apparently a destruction horizon in Anatolia which apparently correlates with this date.I'd call this epidemic distress.Think of what a 300 foot rise in the level of the Great Lakes would do.
