Hildebrandslied; however, they both appear to be very much less than the
68 stanzas you are referring to. Please note that the first one is
composed of 68 lines in the original.

The Lay of Hildebrant is an alliterative poem in Old High German. The 68
line fragment which
survives consists of a dialogue between Hildebrant, a follower of
Theoderic. Returning home after an
absence of many years, he is challenged to a fight by a young knight who
turns out to be Hadubrand,
his own son. Unfortunately the poem breaks off at this point.
