Yup... two seas - one fresh and one salt, mingling off the Island of
Bahrein. There were a large number of oceanic freshwater springs off
the coast of Bahrein throughout historic times that gave the place its
name.

Its pre-Arabic name (recorded by Ptolemy) Gerrha seems to have also
referred to the same phenomenon. Recent building and construction work
on Bahrein has caused some of the freshwater springs in the ocean to
disappear, but this strange phenomenon is widely reported in Arabic
stories of the area.

On a related note. We have a freshwater spring in the ocean not far
from where I live in Perth, Western Australia. They are not all that
rare.
