Dear Christos,It IS a communication problem. I never meant to insult you or to patronise you. I'm not smart-alecking around. There are things I know more about than you do (and the historical phonology of Greek is one of them -- I can say that confidently even at the risk of infuriating you even more; it's enough to look at the changes cited in your last posting), just as there are things you know much better than I do -- Greek syntax is one of them for sure, as well as most other aspects of Greek. It's your language, after all. I did thank you for correcting my blunder, didn't I? My Classical Greek IS mostly self-taught, I make no secret of that. I'm grateful when people who know it better correct me. I've learnt something useful from you and I'll never make that particular mistake again, but you apparently feel you can't learn anything from me. "Farewell and prosper"? Take a breather and then perhaps we can talk again.Piotr
