Any thoughts on the data elements (fields) for the database?

1) PIE word
2) Pronunciation
3) Meaning(s) and usage
4) Source (credit for reconstruction)
5) Brief explanation of its reconstruction
6) Indo-European cognate offspring

Subject: [cybalist] PIE Online Database

I have just registered a new free site with xoom.com called PIE Studies
http://members.xoom.com/piestudies ) with the hopes of establishing a free
online database of Proto Indo European roots and IE cognates.

Is anyone interested in contributing? My idea is to allow contributors to
update and edit the database themselves or perhaps to nominate an editor who
can oversee the job. Perhaps we could add some grammatical lessons to the
databse as well.

If we all put in the roots and cognates that we knew, we would have quite a
list in no time!

Let me know what you all think

An excellent idea. You can count on me.
