I should have said "renew". By incorporating religion into PIE, the
archaeologist can then begin to recreate a group from a theoretical
construct. Once a religious focus has been given, then social and
cultural aspects can be described and analyzed. An absolutely
fascinating prospect! It opens an entirely new area of research.
