If you read closely, it would seem they've recycled everything published in
the last 20 years, right down to the maps and charts. The introduction
intimates there was a last-minute crisis just before publication involving a
change in publishers. The book would have benefitted from a few extra months
of polishing in the galley stage.
Yes. It's expensive -- and for the price, rather shoddily put together. But
I second the accolade. It's wonderful.
