Hyakinthos

Greetings, All!

Concerning mention made to the semi-divine Hyakinthos and the
possible P-I-E origins of his name...
Is there now concensus that the -nthos, -ssos, -eus words and language
of early Greece are in fact Indo-European? I had heard musings (on
hills!) that this language, possibly the language of Linear A, might be
I-E, thus attesting to an I-E population in Crete, Greece and Anatolia
much earlier than expected. However, these were only speculations. What
is the most recent opinion and bibliography?
