(For the equivalent misuse of English, you might (or might not) visit
<www.engrish.com>. "Engrish", every few days, shows another interesting
use of English, much of it in Japan. Sometimes, it's bad translation,
sometimes hard to figure out. However, be forewarned, its comments can be
pretty raunchy (borderline obscene, at times), and the comments might, now
and then, puzzle a non-native speaker. Nevertheless, it's always
interesting, and sometimes quite funny.)

I used Google images recently to see what a qalam looks like. It seems to
be made from a hollow (plant) reed.
