Thanks Doug -- and Suzanne -- very interesting! Also interesting is doing a
"View Source" using plain old Notepad -- the two seem (on first glimpse
anyway) to be perfectly identical.

I saved the page locally and stripped out the CSS from the local copy. A
good bit of difference between the two. This is the first time I've seen
Firefox not "do the right thing" wrt fonts and i18n. Before, I'd always
thought specifiying fonts via CSS only mattered when it came to IE; now I
see it matters in Firefox as well. Bummer.

As to IE's ("just a web browser") poor performance compared to Notepad's
("the built-in *Windows* text editor"), I guess it confirms where
Microsoft's priorities lie. :)

Still, both are moving targets. It will be interesting to revisit Doug's
page post IE7 and Firefox 1.5 -- at least we aren't in the Netscape 3/4 days
any more...
