I believe that was the original intention of ISCII. THere is a
standard keyboard and standard transliteration (unused by theTamil of
course) and there was supposed to be a standard code conversion.
However, I read a post in the Tamil forum about how Tamil encoding was
organized to accomodate this in theory but that it wasn't really
possible. Not yet anyway. So not a font change, but an algroithm of
some kind.
