The only correspondance I see is between Moon letter M and Cree syllable ME,
but I guess that may be explained by pure chance.

All the other similar-looking symbols have totally unrelated phonetic
values, so I don't see how the two writing systems could possibly be
related.

If the symbols were graphically more complex, their visual similarity could
hint to something even with no phonetic similarity, but these geometric
shapes are so elementary (especially Moon, which is designed to be read with
fingers) that you can find similar shapes wherever you want to see them.
