[NB]> One of the newer announcers on radio station WBUR in Boston is a
young woman named Gina Cervetti (sp probably correct). When she spoke her
own name on the air, she tied the end of her first name to the beginning
of her last name with an "s" sound, as if it were Ginassservetti. It took
months for her to learn to put silence between her names. She's a native
English speaker.

[PTD] Months after starting work at WBUR, she started mispronouncing her
name?
I wonder why.

Considering the practical politics of WBUR (too far off-topic; Jane
Christo's Empire), one indeed might wonder. I assume that she had aways
mispronounced it.
