In fall 1953, fifty years ago, The Journal of Hellenic Studies published the
famous article by Michael Ventris and John Chadwick announcing the
decipherment of the Linear B script, and the discovery of Mycenaean Greek.
Anyone knows the exact date of that volume of JHC? I have a good bottle of
Greek wine, and I'd like to open it in that day.
