"Waverly" seems to be far more common; however, in Waltham,
Waverley Oaks Road is the local commonplace spelling. Thanks
for pointing that out.

Almost positive I saw an MBTA bus with a misspelled
destination sign, "WAVERLY" (square).

Framingham replaced all the signs on Waverley (St.? Ave?),
and all but one was misspelled. They decided it was too
costly to fix, and afaik, have left it that way.

True, I made an assumption for fun, but some other replies do
support this pronunciation, to some degree.
