Fascinating; I think I read that document some years back
when I was browsing your site.

Question: Using a 7 for the Tironian, is "7rl" equivalent to
"etc."? What is the fully-written-out Irish form?

What/who does "Tironian" refer to?

Thanks in advance, if that's not too crude an expression!

This reminds me that I discovered a [source]book in our local
library published maybe 1890 or so that contained many
specimens of typeset "earlier" English, Anglo-Saxon, and
maybe Gaelic. The variety of typefaces was impressive, and
considering the old letters they contained, represented a
good amount of work. The book seemed unloved, and its binding
was in quite bad shape, but when I showed it to the director
of the library, he had it sent to the bindery.
