One thing I hope to do, sooner or later, is to make a clock,
using a 24-hour "quartz" movement, that has Roman numerals on
its dial. (By 24 hours, I mean a clock in which the hour hand
goes around once every day, not twice. Midnight is
customarily at the top, but Hammond made a 24-hr clock with
noon at the top.)

who recently bought a low-cost "quartz analog" 24-hour
wristwatch. It's amazing how long it takes (an adult) to get
accustomed to 24-hour dials: Years!
