Yes, I have just checked it: Georg. 'tbili' - 'warm'.
However my source connects this name with warm springs.

Anyway,
Tabal > Tbilisi
and
Tabal > Iberia
exclude each other.

What do you think about the possibility of the latter?
Yes, scepticism is much needed for reading sites like those I quoted. They
contain in next paragraphs many absurd things. Nevertheless, I think we
should not just ignore their references to ancient authors. It is worth
discussing at least.

On the other hand, Leonti Mroveli, the author of Kartlis Tskhovreba (Life of
the Kartlian Kings) of 11th cent., says that Georgians and other Caucasian
tribes are descendants of Targamos, a brother of Tubal, and doesn't mention
Tubal proper.
