Halldor answers, “I will agree to this if it is my brothers wishes to pay
money for Bolli’s slaying, such
sem þeir menn dæma er til gerðar eru teknir. En undan vil eg skilja sektir
allar og svo goðorð
as those men judge who are selected for arbitration. But I will make an
exception for all outlawry and also my authority as chieftain

Snorri segir: "Vel og skörulega er þetta boðið. Munu þeir bræður þenna kost
taka ef þeir vilja að nokkuru hafa mín ráð."
Snorri says, “This offer is good and impressive. Those brothers will take
this choice if they want to have some of my advice.”
Síðan reið Snorri heim og segir þeim bræðrum hvert orðið hafði hans erindi
og svo það að hann
Then Snorri rode home and tells those brothers what had happened with his
errand also that he
mundi við skiljast þeirra mál með öllu ef þeir vildu eigi játa þessu. Bolli
bað hann fyrir ráða "og
would separate himself from their case in every way if they would not agree

Þá sendir Snorri orð Halldóri að þá var ráðin sættin. Bað hann kjósa mann
til gerðar til móts við
Then Snorri sends word to Halldor that the plans were agreed upon. (Snorri)

Eftir það er þeir höfðu sæst, Bolli og Þorleikur og Ólafssynir, og Þorleikur

After it when they had settled, Bolli and Thorleik and Olaf’s sons, and
Thorleik had been one winter
