Hinn næsta drottinsdag var leið og reið Þorgils þangað með flokki sínum.
Snorri goði var eigi á leið. Var þar fjölmenni.
The next Sunday was (the) assembly and Thorgils rode thither with his band.
Priest Snorri was not at (the) assembly. Many people were there.
Um daginn heimti Þorgils til tals við sig Þorstein svarta og mælti: "Svo er

Og enn mælti Þorgils: "Um slíkan kost mun Lambi eiga að kjósa."
And still Thorgils spoke, “Regarding such a choice Lambi has to choose.”
Þorsteinn kvaðst þá betra þykja ef hann skyldi eigi verða um þetta einlagi.
Thorstein said then he would think better (of it) if he should not be
acting alone in this.”
