Spurði Ólafur hvort Þorleikur ætlaði að halda búi sínu.

Eftir þetta skilja þeir bræður með mikilli blíðu. Þorleikur selur nú jarðir sínar

og annað skuldalið. Skip það verður vel reiðfara og taka Noreg um haustið.
and other household-staff. That ship had a good voyage (see under reiðfara, Z1) and (they) reach Norway during the-autumn.

Þaðan fer hann suður til Danmerkur því að hann festi ekki yndi í Noregi.
From there he travels south to Denmark because he did not feel happy in Norway.

Voru látnir frændur hans og vinir en sumir úr landi reknir.
His kinsmen and friends were dead (see látinn, pp, Z1, separate entry) and some driven out-of (the) country.

Síðan hélt Þorleikur til Gautlands. Það er flestra manna sögn að Þorleikur ætti lítt við elli að fást
After-that Þorleikr holds (course) towards Gautland )Gotaland). That is (the) report of most men that Þorleikr had to exert-himself (eiga at fáast) little against old-age (I presume this means that old age was not a struggle)

og þótti þó mikils verður meðan hann var uppi. Og lúkum vér
