Þá heyrðu Þrípíó ok Artú stór óp, fyr því at þeir fengi heyrt allt þat es kom fyr í nánd ins galdraða atgeirs.
Then 3PO and R2 heard a great shout, because they were able to hear all that that came over near to the enchanted halberd. (Z. nánd - koma í n. (or í nándir) e-u, to come near to)

"Heyrðu þau!" segir Þrípíó Artú bróður sínum, "Þau deyja, Artú!
"You hear!" says 3P) to his brother R2, "They die (that is, "are dying"), R2!

Ok mér es at kenna!
And this is my fault! (I didn't find anything in Z. that matched this meaning, but modern Icelandic has "þetta var mér að kenna - this was my fault")

Vǭnd rǭð gaf ek Hólmgǫngu-Hana, ok nú drepr ormrinn þau ǫll."
I gave Dueler Han bad advice, and now the dragon kills them all." (vǭnd = vándr; rǭð = ráð)

Nú Lúkr heyrir þetta, ok segir, "Vér lifum enn, Þrípíó.
Now Luke hears this, and says, "We still live, 3PO.

Spyrðu Artú, hvárz hann viti hverr galdr liggr yfir bát þenna, ok hvessu vér fáim komizk undan."
Ask R2, whether he knows what charm lies over this boat, and how we would be able to escape."

En Þrípíó ok Artú vǭru eigi hvar þeir vǭru áðr staðnir meðal sekka hjá búlkanum, því at Stormhermenn vǭru þagat komnir ok hǫfðu ina tvá brœðr fundna.
But 3PO and R2 were not where they were before standing among sacks near the cargo (búlkanum is actually plural), because Storm Troopers had come to that place and discovered the two brothers.

Þrípíó sagði þeim, at þeir Artú væri menn Falfaðins konungs fingnir af þessum íslenzkum mǫnnum, ok at þeir Lúkr væri á Dauðastjǫrnu ok sótti Leiu konungsdóttur í dýflissu.
3PO told them, that they, R2 (and he) were King Palpatine's men (fingnir = fangir (prisoners)?) of these Icelandic men, and they, Luke (and the otheres) were on the Death Star and searched for Princess Leia in the dungeon.

Stormhermenninir trúðu orðum hans, en hǫfðu þá Artú borna til Dauðastjǫrnu, ok nú stóðu þeir þar.
The Storm Troopers believed his words, but they had R2 born (that is, taken) to the Death Star, and now they stood there.

En því at Artú hafði Falfaðni konungi ok Veiðri hjǭlpuðum þá þeir gørðu Dauðastjǫrnu, vissi hann, at Veiðr risti rúnar á tǭlkn, ok vissi hann hvar þessi vǭru, folgin í veggi nekkverjum.
But because R2 had helped King Palpatine and Vader they they built the Death Star, (they) knew him, that Vader carved runes on a whale bone, and he knew where this was, hidden in some wall.

Þeir Artú fóru þagat, ok Artú leitaði tálkns þess, es hafði galdr þann es lagði á harkabátinum.
They, R2 (and others) went thither, and R2 searched for the whale bone, which had the spell that lay on the garbage boat.

"Fær Artú stǫðvuð ǫll athaldsgaldraljóð á harkabátinum?" spyrr Lúkr Þrípíó.
"Is R2 able to stop all constraining-magic-charms on the garbage ship?" Luke asks 3PO. (assumption: stǫðvuð = pp of stöðva)

En Artú segir Þrípíó, "Ek fæ stǫðvuð ǫll galdraljóð á harkabátinum, en eigi athaldsgaldraljóð sérstaklega."
But R2 tells 3PO, "I am able to stop all magic charms on the garbage boat, but not a self-holding (?) constraining-magic-charm."

"Þá stǫðvaðu þau ǫll," segir Þrípíó.
"Then stop them all," says 3PO.

Ok þá fingu þau Lúkr hlaupit ýr harkabátinum, ok byrjuðu þau þá at svimma aptr til Dauðastjǫrnu.
And then they, Luke (and the others), are able to jump out of the garbage-boat, and they begin to swim back to the Death Star.

Nú es at segja frá því, at Víga-Óbívan Kvæggansson fann Veiði-Anakin á Dauðastjǫrnu.
Now it is to tell concerning that, that Slayer Obiwan, son of Kvaeggan, met Vader Anakin on the Death Star.

"Lengi hef ek beðit þín, Víga-Óbívan," segir Veiðr, "Endileg sjǭumsk vit aptr, ok nú es hringrinn heill."
"Long have I waited for you, Slayer Obiwan," says Vader, "Finally we (two) see each other again, and now the circle is whole (or "complete)."

Víga-Óbívan þagði, en brá sverði Ljósamæki inum grœna, þeim es hann nam frá Lúki at láni.
Slayer Obiwan was silent, but drew (the) sword Light-saver the green, the one which he took on loan from Luke ("borrowed from Luke").

"Es vit sǭmsk sízt, vas ek þræll," mælti Veiðr enn, "En nú em ek dróttinn."
"When we two saw each other since, I was a thrall," yet said Vader, "And now I am a lord." (Jackson has "last" for "sízt," but searching both Z. and CV, the closest thing I found was "since," although that doesn't fit as I have it)
